GB shares some ISDE history

1978 ISDT Sweden. Ted Goddard with flag. I'm hidden next to Mark Chapman (the guy with long hair and beard). Laurie Alderton is bringing up the rear. Phil Lovett is up the front. Looks like Hans has an itchy nose...

1980 French ISDT - The last before they called it the ISDE. Piloting a Maico 440cc with Sachs air shocks #484. I won the final moto at this event.

1981 ISDE - Island of Elba, Italy. Maico 504cc #280. The Sachs Air Shocks were something else - loved em!

This is at the 1982 ISDE Czechoslovakia. I was on a 504cc Maico and managed to win the final moto here. My trademark - no gloves! I couldn't stand wearing gloves and managed to ride most of the special tests without them!

Rut from 1983 ISDE Wales. Dragging the Can-Am 250 free.

Final moto 1983 ISDE.

Behind every successful man... GB included..

The one constant in GB's life and career is his wife Jennifer.

She has been there since the early '80s, in the background, doing whatever was needed and has had her share of thrills and spills! From being part of the stunt show in France in the eighties to being the right hand woman at numerous ISDE's, Jen was always there.
It wasn't easy finding images as Jennifer was often the one taking the pictures not posing for them.
An accomplished rider in her own right Jen is also a big BMW fan and doesn't mind the odd trailride.
Jennifer chaired the first Motorcycling Australia Women's Commission for several years and was the driving force behind the first Australian Women's ISDE team. Did we mention Jennifer is also a volunteer fire fighter?
What few people know is that Jennifer has a huge interest in the military and is the patron of a group of very special WWII soldiers. Her zeal and determination to have their stories recorded and shared is second to none.
